Capturing Movement in Illustration

From canvases to wood, Petitom knows how to plaster any medium with his vibrant style. Working mostly with 2D animal illustrations, he creates beautifully composed pieces that elevate any space they’re in. The movement and dynamism of his drawings feel like you can hang an animation frame in your wall. He also sells prints of his digital illustrations, sometimes mixing them with stunning typographic work. This is Clash, a 50 x 70 cm silk screen print and Dako, a 4 x 3 feet acrylic on wood painting.

Motion and Texture: Petitoms animated work

His charming animations represent another highlight inside Petitoms portfolio. The fluidity of the movement creates a beautiful contrast with the raw textures he achieves in his work. It feels like you’re watching a sketch gain life in real time, without losing the sharpness and exactitude of a seasoned animator.

A touch of life for Palomosa festival

Palomosa festival is one of the examples of how Petitom’s work can integrate inside a brand identity. His rhytmic illustrations blended perfectly with the typography and layout developed by the Deux Huit Huit studio. The animated pieces added a whole new layer of memorability throughout all of the brand touchpoints.
